a) Local User creation
Ä Switch on your Member of domain Controller PC
Press Ctrl = Alt = Delete
Ä Log on to windows
User name Administrator
Password server2
Log on to PC2 (this computer)
Click on the ok button
Ä Right button click on the my computer
Ä Click on the manage
Ä Computer management
Choose local user and Groups
Right button click on the users
Click on the new user
Ä New user
User name Regan
Full name not necessary
Description not necessary
Password bbit123
Ä Confirm password bbit123
Ä Click remove on the user must change password at next logon
Ä Click on the user cannot change password
Ä Click on the password never expires
Ä Click on the create button
Click on the close button
Ä Computer management
Close the computer management window
When we add user the following changes have been occurred
1) One folder will be created under the C:\Documents and settings folder attar log on as user (by default). The name of the folder will be the same as the user name (by default).
2) User will be the member of the users group (by default)
b) Domain (active directory) user creation
Ø Switch on your domain PC
Ø Welcome to windows
Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete
Ø Log on to windows
User name Administrator
Password server1
Log on to bbit
Click on the ok button
Ø Click on the start button
Ø Choose programs
Ø Choose administrative tools
Ø Click on the Active Directory Users and Computers
Ø Active Directory Users and computers
Choose bbit.org (Domain name)
Right button click on the Users
Choose New
Click on the Users
Ø New Object-User
Fast name Patwary
Last name not necessary
Full name Patwary
Patwary

@bbit.org

Ø User logon name
User logon name (Pre windows 2000)
bbit\

Click on the ok button
Ø New object –user
Password bbit123
Confirm password bbit123
Tick remove on the user must change password at next log
Tick on the user cannot change password

Click on the next button
Click on the finish button

Close the Active Directory users and computers windows
